Losing my Marbles Over Zara’s Off-White Marble Sweater

Even with the infernal hot spell Singapore’s been suffering, frigid temperatures in our shopping malls or restaurants provide the perfect excuse to wear a sweater. I absolutely love sweaters with their many functions, keeping you toasty warm, or doubling up as a fluffy arm-pillow for a 20 minute cat-nap during lunch.

I am currently obsessed with this oversized, Off-White Marble Sweater from Zara I picked out from a recent jaunt. Consider it a lucky find, since I hardly frequent Zara after I realized they’ve ‘upsized’ their sizes (the cons of being petite!). Once my fingers touched the pillowy-soft material, I was sold! I love that the marbling pattern resembles one of my oil-on-water masterpieces during a particular art class back in Primary School. The sweater is 93% Polyester and 7% Elastane, making it very lightweight and comfortable on the body. I paired mine with white skorts from SSURFACE, printed tights from Taiwan, and a Chanel Jumbo. Down South, I kept it casual with my favorite Isabel Marant Bekett Sneaker Wedges (see similar here from Matches.com)–perfect for running errands around town.

Marbling is right on trend to welcome Spring 2014, with designers such as Peter Som, 3.1 Phillip Lim and Rachel Comey incorporating them into designs. I’d love to hear how you would style this sweater, share your thoughts with me in the comments below!
